    Open House Development of Chiyoda-ku, which is under the umbrella of home builder Open House, acquired plots of land for development in Minato, Chuo-ku and Shimo-Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku. The transactions took place in March 2018. The company plans to construct for-sale condominiums on the plots. >>

  • Condo developer obtains former hospital in Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku 08.08.2018

    Investment condominium developer Tohshin Partners of Musashino City purchased former Kawai Hospital in Nishi-Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku. The transaction took place in March 2018 and the seller was Kawai Medical Services of Toshima-ku and medical corporation Kawai Hospital of Shinjuku-ku. Tohshin Partners will construct a condominium on the site. >>

  • Nomura secures office development site in Nihonbashi 08.07.2018

    Nomura Real Estate Development obtained Shin-Edobashi Building in Nihonbashi-Kobunacho, Chuo-ku. The transaction took place in April 2018 and the seller was Chuo-ku real estate company Globe Management. Nomura plans to reconstruct the property into a new office building. >>

  • Office-hotel building planned in Shibaura, Minato-ku 08.07.2018

    Minato-ku water-treatment company Nishihara will construct a mix-use building consisting of office floors and a hotel in Shibaura, Minato-ku. The structure will have eight floors above ground with 7,320 m2 of gross floor area. The design and construction will be undertaken by Kitano Construction of Nagano City. The construction will start in November 2018, with completion targeted for February 2020. >>

  • Tokyu Land group chosen as Sengakuji Station developer 08.03.2018

    Tokyo Metropolitan Government chose a group of four companies namely Tokyu Land, railway operator Keikyu Corporation, Tokyu Construction and Keikyu Kensetsu as the collaborator on the Sengakuji Station District Category II Urban Redevelopment Project on July 31. >>

  • Cosmos Initia to develop hotel in Ueno 08.01.2018

    Condominium developer Cosmos Initia acquired 298 m2 of land in Ueno, Taito-ku. The transaction took place in May 2018 and the sellers were multiple individuals. Cosmos Initia plans to construct a hotel on the land. Plans call for the hotel to have 14 floors above ground with 1,970 m2 of gross floor area and to offer 31 guestrooms. >>

  • 154-room limited service hotel planned in Nihonbashi 07.31.2018

    Kazusaya Ryokan, a hotel operator of Chuo-ku, will redevelop Hotel Kazusaya in Nihonbashi-Honcho, Chuo-ku into a limited serviced hotel. Plans call for it to offer 154 guestrooms on ten floors above ground with 4,820 m2 of gross floor area. >>

  • Rino Hotel Management developing 101-room hotel in Osaka 07.25.2018

    Rino Hotel Management of Osaka City acquired 719 m2 of land in Soemoncho, Chuo-ku Osaka City. The transaction took place in February 2018. The company will develop tentatively-named Welina Hotel Shinsaibashi and manage it on its own. The opening of the hotel is targeted for April 2019. >>

  • Logistics company Suzue to build mixed-use building in Takeshiba, Minato-ku 07.25.2018

    Yokohama City based Suzue Corporation, which is engaged in the logistics and transport business, will build a mixed-use building composed of retail, office and residential spaces in Kaigan, Minato-ku. The building will have 15 floors above ground and one below with a gross floor area of approximately 12,000 m2.>>

  • Musashino University acquires public land in Ariake, Koto-ku 07.24.2018

    The Tokyo Metropolitan Government chose educational institution Musashino University as the developer of Ariake-Minami J1 Block in the Tokyo Waterfront City in July 2018. The sales price of the land is 1.38 billion yen [$12 million]. It was the same amount as the minimum price presented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Musashino University will expand its Ariake Campus located in Ariake-Minami N Block.>>
