  • B-Lot renovating traditional townhouse into ‘machiya-style’ hotel, Kyoto 01.18.2019

    Real estate company B-Lot acquired two adjacent traditional houses with retail space at the front (machiya) in Ebisuyacho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City by November 2018. The sellers were Kyoto City-based real estate company Top Estate and multiple individuals. On the site, B-Lot will develop a hotel that mainly targets foreign tourists. >>

  • SMBC developing Shinbashi building for own use 01.16.2019

    Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) will construct a retail and office building in Shinbashi, Minato-ku. The structure will have 11 floors above ground and one below with 9,705 m2 of gross floor area. >>

  • Cosmos Initia securing condo development site in Tsukiji, Chuo-ku 01.16.2019

    Condominium developer Cosmos Initia will acquire Chuo Gyorui Tsukiji Building in Tsukiji, Chuo-ku. The seller is marine product wholesaler Chuo Gyorui. Cosmos Initia also purchased seven adjacent buildings. The company will develop a 12-storey condominium with 2,291 m2 of gross floor area for sale in units. >>

  • Retail building on Aoyama’s Kotto-dori Street to be reconstructed 01.11.2019

    Shibuya-ku-based real estate company Arai & Co. (Arai Shoten) acquired Toraya Building, a retail property in Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku from multiple individuals. The transaction took place in August 2018. The company plans to reconstruct the property into a new retail and office building. >>

  • Keikyu Corp developing retail building near Shinagawa Station 01.11.2019

    Railway operator Keikyu Corporation will construct a retail building in Takanawa, Minato-ku. The structure will have six floors above ground with 3,682 m2 of gross floor area. Construction will start in February 2019, with completion targeted for March 2020. >>

  • Nomura developing condominium in Nihonbashi-Hisamatsucho 01.08.2019

    Nomura Real Estate Development will construct a for-sale condominium in Nihonbashi-Hisamatsucho, Chuo-ku. >>

  • Tokyo Tatemono developing retail building near Tokyo Station 12.28.2018

    Tokyo Tatemono will construct a building with mainly retail space in Yaesu, Chuo-ku. The structure will have 12 floors above ground with 1,450 m2 of gross floor area. General contractor Obayashi will design and construct the property. Construction will start in April 2019, with completion targeted for June 2020. >>

  • Budget hotel to be developed in Nihonbashi-Hamacho 12.27.2018

    Real estate company Higashinihon Toshikaihatsu of Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture and warehouse operator Shimizu Unyu Souko of Yashio City, Saitama Prefecture will jointly construct a budget hotel in Nihonbashi-Hamacho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.>>

    Nippon Television Network (Nippon TV) of Minato-ku will construct a building with office and retail floors in Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku. The structure will have 11 floors above ground and two below with 4,575 m2 of gross floor area. >>
