Exsight, Inc. has launched the explosion and drip-proof type signal transmitter "EXH-TKB1" and the alarm "EXH-TKB2." The EXH-TKB1 is featured to detect human falling, in addition to explosion-proof capability. The transmitter sends radio to the alarm set in the office, when a certain period of preset time has passed after the person wearing the transmitter on his waist belt falls down due to some kind of accident. The alarm sets off loud sound to make the emergency known to people around.
The transmitter and alarm can be placed at up to 100 m from each other and a time before the alarm activates can be set 10, 30, 60 or 120 seconds. They also feature a pushbutton for users to report emergency by themselves and a timer that delays radio transmission until sub-alarm stops 10 seconds later.
Given the employment of an explosion-proof structure, the TKB1 and TKB2 can be used at gas/steam hazardous areas rated at explosive levels of 1 to 2 and ignition temperature levels of G1 to G3. The products are aimed at enhancing security of people engaged in dangerous works and operation mainly at chemical synthesis plants and petrochemical plants. Standard pricing for the TKB1 is ¥74,900 (including tax), while the TKB2 is ¥54,800 (including tax).
