NEC Fielding Installs 1.9MW Solar Plant in Hyogo

NEC Fielding Ltd built a 1.99MW solar power plant in Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and started a business of selling electricity Oct 1, 2017.

It is the first solar power plant owned by NEC Fielding. On about 40,000m2 of land owned by the company, 8,000 solar panels were installed.

The plant is expected to generate 2,720MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 550 households, per year and reduce CO2 emissions by 1,349t per year. Electricity generated at the plant is sold to The Kansai Electric Power Co Inc (KEPCO) at a price of ¥24/kWh.
