Sharp Energy Solutions Builds 16MW Solar Plant in Mongolia

Sharp Energy Solutions Corp (Yao City, Osaka Prefecture) announced Sept 14, 2018, that it has built a 16.5MW solar power plant in Zamyn-Uud City, Dornogovi Province, Mongolia, in cooperation with Shigemitsu Shoji Co Ltd (Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture) and Solar Tech LLC (an energy-related firm based in Mongolia).

The plant is expected to generate 31,162MWh of electricity per year, eliminating 24,836t of CO2. Sharp Energy Solutions provided EPC services for the plant. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Sharp Corp and SMA Solar Technology AG, respectively.
