Japan Renewable Energy Corp (JRE) built a 23MW solar power plant in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant Sept 13, 2018.

JRE obtained a permission to develop about 26ha of forestland and installed 72,120 solar panels. The plant is expected to generate about 26,500,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 7,360 households, per year, eliminating about 13,730t of CO2.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of LG Electronics Inc and Delta Electronics Inc, respectively. And JX Engineering Corp provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services.
