X-Elio Japan plans to build two solar power plants with a total output of about 62MW in mountainous areas of Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

X-Elio Japan will develop and operate both of the plants while NEC Networks & System Integration Corp will provide EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services. The construction of the plants is planned to start within 2016, and they are scheduled to begin operation in 2018. The investment is about ¥19 billion (approx US$183 million).

X-Elio has a goal of developing 600MW of mega (large-scale) solar power plants in Japan, planning to build about 20 plants in four to five years.
