Ichijo Plans to Build 30MW Solar Plant in Nagano

The government of Nagano Prefecture publicized an environmental assessment procedure for a mega (large-scale) solar power plant that Ichijo Mega Solar plans to build in Sakuho-machi, Nagano Prefecture, and made it available for public inspection Sept 28, 2016.

Ichijo Mega Solar (Iga City, Mie Prefecture) is a subsidiary of Ichijo Co Ltd (Koto-ku, Tokyo), a major housing manufacturer.

In the project, a solar power plant with an output of about 30MW will be built on 61.18ha of mountain forest land. The environmental assessment will be conducted from fiscal 2016 to 2019. The engineering/construction of the plant is planned to begin in fiscal 2020, and the plant is scheduled to start operations in fiscal 2024.
