SB Energy Corp announced Sept 28, 2016, that it has decided to build a solar power plant with an output of about 1.2MW in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

The plant will be built on about 1.9ha of privately owned land. It is expected to generate about 1,446,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 400 households, per year.

SB Energy aims to start operation of the plant in August 2017. Electricity generated at the plant is sold at a price of ¥32/kWh (excluding tax).
