Tabuchi Electric Co Ltd demonstrated a drone that was developed for monitoring solar panels and can be wirelessly charged at Ceatec Japan 2015.

Equipped with an infrared camera, the drone shoots pictures of solar panels at, for example, mega (large-scale) solar power plants to check whether there are abnormalities. It eliminates the need to replace batteries and enables further automation.

The distance between the power transmission and reception coils is 50mm in the vertical direction. The diameters of the transmission and reception coils are 300 and 150mm, respectively. The frequency is set at 13.56MHz.
