Renova Inc announced that it has started operation of a solar power plant with an output of about 19MW in Ozu-machi, Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, in April 2016 and had a purification ceremony for the plant in August 2016.

The total output of solar panels installed at the plant is about 19MW, and the total rated output of PV inverters is 13MW. The plant is expected to generate about 19,000,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 5,500 households, per year.

JFE Electrical & Control Systems Inc provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of JA Solar Co Ltd and Switzerland-based ABB, respectively.
