Rokunohe Solar Park LLC completed the construction of a 22.09MW solar power plant in Rokunohe-machi, Aomori Prefecture, Japan, and started to sell electricity Aug 1, 2017.

Rokunohe Solar Park is a joint venture between Vitec Solar Energy Co Ltd, which is affiliated with Vitec Holdings Co Ltd, and Japan Renewable Energy Corp (JRE).

For the plant, 83,360 solar panels were installed. The plant is expected to generate about 26,000,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 7,170 households, per year. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Hanwha Q Cells Japan Co Ltd and Daihen Corp, respectively.
