JAIC Begins Construction of 2.8MW Solar Plant in Shizuoka

Japan Asia Investment Co Ltd (JAIC) announced Aug 3, 2016, that it has started to operate a mega (large-scale) solar power plant in Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

The total capacity of solar panels to be installed at the plant is 2.8MW, and the plant is expected to transmit 1.99MW of electricity to a power grid. It is a joint project with Renewable Japan Co Ltd, which develops solar power generation projects.

In the project, Sharp Corp provides EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Yingli Green Energy Holding Co Ltd and Fuji Electric Co Ltd, respectively.
