Noritz Corp built a 1.24MW floating solar power plant on a reservoir in Kiyotani-cho, Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.

The plant started power generation March 14, 2018, and Noritz had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant March 20, 2018.

On 5,348 floats, 4,600 solar panels were set up. The plant is expected to generate about 1,350,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 375 households, per year, eliminating 650t of CO2 emissions. All the electricity generated will be sold at a price of ¥24/kWh.
