Standardkessel Baumgarte GmbH (SBG), a Germany-based subsidiary of JFE Engineering Corp (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), announced Feb 9, 2018, that it has received an order for a waste power generation plant from MVV Environment Services, a special purpose entity (SPE) established by the major German utility company MVV Energie AG.

The plant will be built in Dundee City, Scotland in the United Kingdom. Its output is 11MW. It will process 329t of waste per day in a furnace, and the amount of electricity generated at the plant is equivalent to the power consumption of 20,000 households. Also, it will supply steam to an adjacent tire manufacturing plant of France-based Michelin. The plant is scheduled to be completed in 2020.
