Suntech Power Starts Up 2.6MW Solar Plant in Saitama

Suntech Power Japan Corp (Shinjyuku-ku, Tokyo) announced Dec 21, 2018, that Suntech Energy Development (its subsidiary) has built a solar power plant with an output of about 2.6MW and started operation in Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.

The plant, "Kumagaya Solar Power Plant II," is expected to generate 3,118,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 650 households, in the first year.

At the plant, 8,010 units of Suntech Power's polycrystalline silicon solar panel (output: 325W each) and 60 PV inverters manufactured by Huawei Technologies Co Ltd were installed.
