7.5MW Wind Farm to Be Built Off Coast of Toyama

Mitsui E&S Engineering Co Ltd and Venti Japan Inc announced Dec 19, 2018, that they will build an offshore wind farm with a rated output of 7.495MW in a sea area located to the east of Nyuzen-machi (town), Toyama Prefecture, Japan.

They will start to build electric facilities in August 2019 and an offshore foundation in April 2020, planning to start operation in January 2021.

The total project cost is about ¥5 billion. All the electricity generated at the wind farm, "Offshore Wind Power Plant Off the Coast of Nyuzen-machi (tentative name)," will be sold to Hokuriku Electric Power Company Inc at a price of ¥36/kWh based on the feed-in tariff (FIT) scheme.
