Tamagawa Holdings Co Ltd announced Nov 9, 2017, that it has secured a site for solar sharing in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

By renting agricultural land in Kishi-cho, Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Tamagawa Holdings will set up poles to install solar panels above rice paddies so that sunlight is shared by rice plants and solar panels. Under the panels, Japanese cleyera will be grown.

The area of the land to be rent is 4,626m2, and the output of the solar power generation system is about 406kW. For the introduction of the solar-sharing system, Smart Blue Co Ltd will provide advice.
