  • Properst wins bid for land in Chuo-ku to develop apartment 04.26.2018

    Real estate company Properst acquired 213 m2 of land in Tsukuda, Chuo-ku for 385 million yen [$3.5 million] in November 2017. The acquisition was made through an open competitive bid held by the Kanto Local Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Finance. Properst will construct a rental apartment building.>>

  • Sumitomo Corp, Nippon Koei to construct office building in Hanzomon, Chiyoda-ku 04.24.2018

    Trading firm Sumitomo Corporation and construction consulting company Nippon Koei will jointly construct an office building in Kojimachi, Chiyoda-ku. The building will be tentatively named Hanzomon PREX South in the PREX mid-size office building series of Sumitomo Corporation. >>

  • Open House acquires condo development land in Shibuya-ku 04.23.2018

    Open House Development of Chiyoda-ku, which is under the umbrella of homebuilder Open House, obtained 799 m2 of land in Uehara, Shibuya-ku. The purchase was made from multiple individuals in December 2017. Open House Development will construct a for-sale condominium on the land. >>

  • Louis Vuitton developing retail building in Osaka’s Shinsaibashi 04.23.2018

    The Japanese arm of Louis Vuitton will develop a retail building in Shinsaibashi, Osaka City. The building will have seven floors above ground and one below with 4,182 m2 of gross floor area. Completion is scheduled for November 2019.>>

  • Japan Post developing Daikanyama, Shibuya-ku apartment with shared offices 04.20.2018

    Japan Post will develop a rental apartment building with shared offices in Ebisu-Nishi, Shibuya-ku. The company will start the construction in May 2018 and will manage the property as an income building on its own after it is completed in November 2019.>>

  • Itochu develops apartment building near Aoyama Gakuin University 04.18.2018

    Itochu Property Development, a unit of trading firm Itochu of Minato-ku, started to develop a rental apartment building in Shibuya, Shibuya-ku. The company will sell the property to an investor after owning it for a certain period of time after completion. Completion of the construction is expected to be in November 2019.>>

  • Osaka operator to open budget hotel in Akihabara 04.16.2018

    Super Hotel of Osaka City will construct a hotel in Kanda-Sudacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The structure will have 13 floors above ground and one below with 2,918 m2 of gross floor area. Chiyoda-ku builder Nakano will undertake the design and construction of the property. Construction already began in January 2018, with completion targeted for June 2019. >>

  • Cosmos Initia to construct condominium alongside Sumida River 04.13.2018

    Condominium developer Cosmos Initia acquired 501 m2 of land in Minato, Chuo-ku. The transaction took place in November 2017 and the seller was Nissho Printing of Chuo-ku. Cosmos Initia will construct a for-sale condominium. Construction will start in May 2018, with completion slated for January 2020.>>

  • Open House to develop condo in Setagaya-ku 04.11.2018

    Chiyoda-ku's Open House Development, which is under the umbrella of homebuilder Open House, obtained 602 m2 of land in Kitazawa, Setagaya-ku. The transaction took place in October 2017 and the seller was Setagaya-ku's Ken Housing.>>

  • Tokyu Corp opens SOHO converted building in Meguro-ku 04.10.2018

    Railway operator Tokyu Corporation renovated a 25-year old building in Aobadai, Meguro-ku into a mixed-use facility composed of small offices and a retail space, and opened it in March 2018. Tokyu Corporation acquired the building from audio equipment manufacturer JVC Kenwood in October 2017. It secured ten small office spaces and one retail space through the renovation. >>
