A 40.36MW solar power plant whose construction had been led by Renova Inc was completed in Futtsu City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

A ceremony to celebrate the completion was performed Aug 6, 2014. Renova Inc (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) develops renewable energies and recycles plastics.

The direct voltage of each series circuit of the plant is up to 1,000V. As a result, the total efficiency of the system was improved. Also, the construction cost was reduced by employing 1,000kW-capacity PV inverters. The plant is the largest-scale solar power plant supporting 1,000V direct voltage in Japan.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Sharp Corp and Fuji Electric Co Ltd, respectively.
