Kyuden Ecosol Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Kyushu Electric Power Co Inc, announced June 23, 2014, that it has completed the construction of a 1.5MW solar power plant in Matsuura City, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

The expected amount of electricity generated at the plant is about 1,800MWh per year. The solar panel and PV inverter of the plant are products of Mitsubishi Electric Corp and Kyuhen Co Inc, respectively.

A 750V direct-current system was employed to improve efficiency. Also, Kyuden Ecosol introduced a system that facilitates the operation of the plant by remotely controlling PV inverters and lowers power consumption.
