Mitsui Begins to Operate 23MW Solar Plant in Hokkaido

Mitsui Fudosan Co Ltd announced that it has completed construction of a 23MW solar power plant in Tomakomai City, Hokkaido, Japan, April 1, 2014, and started power generation at the plant.

The plant is expected to produce 24,000,000kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 6,600 households. The solar panel and PV inverter of the plant were manufactured by Panasonic Corp and Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corp (TMEIC), respectively. Toko Denki Kogyo K K provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services.
