Yabu City to Build Biomass Power Plant Using Livestock Manure

Toyo Yabu Bio Energy started the construction of a biomass power plant using methane fermentation gas in Yabu City (national strategic special zone), Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and had a ground-breaking ceremony Oct 28, 2017.

The rated output of the plant is 1.426MW. The plant is scheduled to be completed in March 2018 and start commercial operation in September 2018.

To generate electricity, the plant will use methane gas produced by the anaerobic fermentation of livestock manure, food residue, etc. Yabu City is known for the breeding of the Tajima cow and broiler chickens.
