NTT Facilities Inc built a solar power plant with an output of about 23MW in Iitate-mura, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant Oct 24, 2017.

On a former farmland for which an evacuation order was lifted in the spring of 2017, 76,600 solar panels were installed. The total capacity of the solar panels is 23.371MW, and the total rated output of PV inverters is 18.48MW (880kW x 21). The plant is expected to generate about 23,900MWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 6,600 households, per year.

It is NTT Facilities' 79th site for its solar power generation business.
