JRE Completes 10MW Solar Plant in Kochi

Japan Renewable Energy Corp (JRE) had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a 9.772MW solar power plant in Kami City, Kochi Prefecture, Japan, Oct 17, 2017.

JRE is a company that develops and runs renewable energy-based power plants. The plant transmits 7.3MW of electricity to a power grid. It started operations Oct 1, 2017.

The plant is expected to generate about 12,860,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 3,574 households, per year, reducing CO2 emissions by about 8,376t per year.

The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of LSIS Co Ltd and Fuji Electric Co Ltd, respectively.
