SB Energy, JA Mitsui Leasing to Set Up 22MW Solar Plant in Miyazaki

SB Energy Corp and JA Mitsui Leasing Ltd announced Oct 10, 2017, that they will build a 22.4MW solar power plant in Kunitomi-cho, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.

The companies aim to start operating the plant within fiscal 2019. For the plant, 81,552 solar panels manufactured by Trina Solar Ltd will be installed on about 46.6ha of privately-owned land (mountain forest).

The plant is expected to generate about 26,677,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 7,410 households, per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh.
