SB Energy Starts Up 1.3MW Solar Plant in Nagano

SB Energy Corp started commercial operation of a 1.3MW solar power plant in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Oct 2, 2017.

SB Energy is a company that is affiliated with the Softbank group and runs renewable energy-related businesses, etc.

On about 1.9ha of privately-owned land, 4,752 solar panels were set up. For the plant, Trina Solar Ltd's 270W and 290W panels were employed. The plant is expected to generate about 1,539,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 427 households, per year.

The PV inverter and mounting system employed for the plant are products of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd and Nichiei Intec Co Ltd, respectively.
