JAIC Completes 11MW Solar Plant in Shizuoka

Japan Asia Investment Co Ltd (JAIC) announced that it has completed a solar power plant with an output of 11.3MW in Kitaema, Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, in collaboration with Renewable Japan Co Ltd.

The area of the plant site is about 208,500m2. Sharp provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services for the plant. The solar panel and PV inverter employed for the plant are products of Sharp and Fuji Electric Co Ltd.

The plant is expected to generate about 13,250,000kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 3,800 households, per year. Electricity generated at the plant is sold to Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc at a price of ¥36/kWh.
