Renewable Japan Completes 11MW Solar Plant in Shizuoka

Renewable Japan Co Ltd, which develops solar power plants, announced that it has completed a solar power plant with an output of about 11.34MW in Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan, and had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of the plant Sept 19, 2017.

At the plant, 42,792 solar panels manufactured by Sharp Corp were installed on 291,843m2 of land that was formerly used as a quarry. Sharp also provided EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) services for the plant.

The plant is expected to generate 13,249,349kWh of electricity, which is equivalent to the amount consumed by 3,800 households, per year. Electricity generated at the plant is sold to Chubu Electric Power Co Inc at a price of ¥36/kWh.
