Consumers' Co-op Builds 1.5MW Solar Plant in Miyazaki

Green Co-op Seikyo Miyazaki (consumers' co-operative) announced that it has had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a 1.5MW solar power plant.

The co-op set up 9,120 CIS-based solar panels manufactured by Solar Frontier KK on about 21,500m2 of unused farmland in Kunitomi-cho, Higashimorokata-gun, Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan.

The power producer of the plant is Green Shimin Denryoku (general incorporated association). The members of Green Co-op, etc partially financed the project by saving up every month.
