Sparx Starts Up 22MW Solar Plant in Tochigi

Sparx Green Energy & Technology Co Ltd (SGET) announced that it has had a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a 22MW solar power plant.

SGET is a company affiliated with Sparx Group Co Ltd, which deals with investment management, etc. The plant was build in an area that straddles the border between Nasukarasuyama City and Nakagawa-machi, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It transmits 18MW of electricity to a power grid.

SGET had a ground-breaking ceremony for the plant and started the construction in February 2016. The plant is expected to generate 24,000,000kWh of electricity per year. The FIT tariff set for the plant is ¥36/kWh (excluding tax).
