Ciel Terre Begins Construction of 2.5MW Floating Solar Plant in Mie

Ciel Terre Japan KK had a ground-breaking ceremony for a floating solar power plant to be installed on a pond in Hagino, Geinou-cho, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, Japan.

Ciel Terre Japan is a Japanese subsidiary of France-based Ciel&Terre International, a major manufacturer of floating mounting systems for installing solar panels on a water surface.

The plant is scheduled to start to sell electricity in November 2017. It will transmit 1.980MW of power to a grid. The total capacity of solar panels to be installed at the plant is 2.548MW.
