Sora's W, a subsidiary of Eiki Shoji Co Ltd, is planning to build a solar power plant with an output of about 30MW in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

Sora's W, which is the power producer of the plant, intends to install about 140,000 solar panels on 80-90ha of land.

Based on the environmental impact assessment system of Nagano Prefecture, the power producer made a "planning-stage environmental impact statement" and made it available for public inspection Feb 1, 2017.

The process of the environmental impact assessment will continue until 2019. The construction of the plant will start in the spring of 2019, and it is scheduled to start operations in 2021.
