Japan Renewable Energy Corp (JRE) plans to develop a large-scale wind power plant with an output of about 20MW in Maibara City (Shiga Prefecture) and Sekigahara-cho (Gifu Prefecture), Japan.

For the plant, JRE is planning to install about seven wind turbines (diameter: 80-108m each). The capacity of the wind turbine is expected to be 2-3.4MW per unit. The output of the plant is expected to be up to 23.8MW. The construction of the plant is planned to start in 2020, and it is scheduled to start operation in 2021.
